I am planning to install solar panels, and as part of the solar company’s planning process, they did an inspection of the site. What they found was that the roof’s asphalt shingles had many areas which were getting toward the end of their life. I had 3 companies inspect the roof and provide estimates for replacing the shingles. And what was very important, was to complete the work without delaying the solar installation project. Roxanne, part of Top Tier Roofing’s office staff, was a delight to work with. She understood my situation and the timing required. She arranged for an immediate inspection by Porfirio. He came out right away and was excellent at sizing up the situation and explaining my options. Porfirio’s experience was evident. Top Tier provided me an estimate without delay. I wasted no time in advising them that if they could do the job without negatively impacting the timing of the solar installation, that I would like to move ahead with signing a contract. Less than a day later, I had worked with Top Tier Roofing’s owner, David and we had a signed contract. Not only did Top Tier Roofing assure me that they could start without delay, they indicated that they could complete the job in three days. Top Tier Roofing sent a crew out bright and early on the scheduled start day, efficiently removed the old shingles and tar paper, exposing the wood below. They did an inspection, looking for dry rot and any damage from termites or insects. They found one area which showed evidence of damage, replaced it right away, and prepared for installation of the new shingles. New underpayment went down and the shingles followed shortly. Top Tier’s crew installed the new roof in less time than estimated. They did an excellent job of picking up and hauling away the old shingles, tar paper, nails and staples (I think there were about 5 billion of them). The care they took with the cleanup really showed me the pride that they took in their work, and the high values and standards instilled by management. The excellent communications from the owner, David, to the general manager, Gilbert, and to the project manager, Porfirio . . . all made the process run smoothly; on time and on budget. I was very pleased with the entire project and the way this group of professionals handled every aspect of it. My new roof looks great! I would highly recommend Top Tier Roofing.
